Wow! It definitely has been a while since Cathy and I had bangs! We were super psyched when Roseanne & Amy, one of our first customers whom we became good friends with, invited us to this GLAAD Awards Gala Night. We love community events, and it was such a great opportunity to meet people. We even got a picture opportunity with Sharon Osbourne!!
She was super nice, and I remember she told me that she liked my necklace in a beautiful english accent. Kelly Osbourne was there too (and prolly just got back from rehab because she was quite sober), but the picture we took with her didn’t come out. Oh well! At least we got a pic with her cool mom!
Roseanne & Amy used to live upstairs from our shop, and that’s how we met them back in July 2003. I remember the first thing Roseanne ever bought from the store, which was a hot black shirt dress from Louis Verdad (what happened to that designer btw??) – which was perfect for her NYC style. Five years later and she still comes to the store with her 2 cute little yorkies, get her nails done, and pick up a few tops and a pair of jeans on her way out.
