As featured on the cover of Lucky on Heidi Klum….

We are getting new brands at Azalea for Spring and we can’t wait to show them all to you!
So let’s start with AIKO!

Aiko is a relatively new line (started spring 2010) based on the reinvention of the classic sweatshirt in a fashion forward way. The key is really in the soft, beautiful fabric. All the pieces are really items the we can live in. The line is backed by Sean Barron of JOIE and designed by artist, Cynthia Mittweg.

2009 was not only the year of Barack Obama and the longest solar eclipse in the 21st century–it was the year that fashion met Funktion. Funktional Clothing, founded in 2009 by Jennifer Park, seamlessly integrates sophisticated tailoring, billowy fabrics and modern patterns to fit every woman’s budget. Galactic prints, drapey layers, and cut-outs abound in Funktional’s Spring 2011 collection.

It’s no surprise that Low Luv is one of our favorite jewelry lines. We’ve blogged about it more times than I can remember, we brought Erin in to showcase the new collection in mid-2010, and nearly everyone who works here owns a piece (or three). It’s an understatement to say that we were excited to see these gorgeous pictures of the new collection. Which piece is your favorite?!

This season’s La Mer Collection wrap watches are off the chain! (pun intended) Each time we get a new shipment I have to have someone hide my wallet from me. With buttery-soft leather wrap bands and both classic square and round faces to choose from– not to mention the killer patterns and colors in this season’s collection, how can you resist?
What’s great about these babies is that even if you already own a watch (I own three!) you’ll still find the time (another pun) to wear a La Mer. You can bring a pop of color to your workweek wear with a Royal Blue one. Feel like an undercover sass in the Leopard wrap or, glam it up in a watch with chains attached: bracelet+watch=fashion&function. Something my Mama always said was worth the money.

I am cold. When November rolls around, I buckle up my navy coat with the fur-trimmed hood and pretty much leave it on until April. Sometimes I’m too cold to get in my pajamas, so I’ll just sleep in my coat. I could be wearing an Ed Hardy bikini and a belly chain trimmed with sparkly dice charms underneath for all you know, because that coat remains on my body from morning ’til night. I spend my winters looking like a cartoon character who has an entire closet full of one outfit, and that outfit closely resembles the one belonging to the Eskimo Pie mascot:
Recently, a kindly co-worker brought it to my attention that there are actually several different kind of cold, each requiring a different type of coat! So I decided to try on every coat in Azalea to see if I could break the mold this winter diversify my wardrobe.
Amazing! This Billy Reid coat is extremely soft for being 100% wool, and very figure flattering. It nips in your waist and has an exaggerated lapel and cuffs that elevate it way beyond your ordinary peacoat. The tailoring is impeccable and it will last for years without looking dated. Perfect for one of those San Francisco days where the sun is shining but the air feels like a wall of ice cubes, this investment is well worth the cost.
Sometimes you have to walk the dog or change your boyfriend’s Iroc-Z tire in the rain, and you don’t want to muss your fine tailored coat or endure any more Eskimo comments from passersby. That’s where Spiewak comes in. This company really knows their way around a jacket, as they’ve been making them since 1904. Many of them are waterproof and despite their practicality, they are styled to fit the shape of your body and look super cute! Prices range from $100 – $170, so they are a wintery bargain. Sold.
I am now the proud owner of three coats. Hooray! Now if I could only do something about my uni-jeans…

We’re talkin’ Fair Isle! This traditional knitwear pattern evokes memories of cozy Christmas sweaters and hunky ski instructors, and it’s back in a big way…

SF born and NYC based, 26 year-old BFF designers, Julia Wilson and Shannon Davenport have mastered the modern Southwest look. In FFTB’s first season, Navajo and Western influences are carried out with quality, in sterling silver. Each piece is modern, yet traditional, and oh-so-wearable. What’s great about FFTB is how versatile it is. You can definitely wear their pieces to work into evening and all through the night, no matter the ensemble.

A lot of our customers have been asking, and we finally got a refill. They are going fast, so more are on the way. We really like the People style for women, because it has a slightly thinner frame than the traditional wayfarer. It looks great on a lot of different face shapes – and in a new martini olive green for the Holidays!

Last night, we showcased fLuXus with free cocktails and 20%off the entire collection!
The LA based Fluxus collection, designed by Jeffrey Sebelia, winner of TV show Project Runway, features jumpers, wraps, and burnout tees, all of which have become favorites of Hollywood celebs such as Jessica Alba, Ashley Greene, Rachel Bilson, Halle Berry, Charlize Theron, Oprah, and most recently Rachel Zoe. Named after the mid-century experimental art movement, Fluxus lives and designs by the philosophy that “there is life, there is art, and in between, there is fashion.”
