They are all over the celebs, from Jessica Alba, Kristen Stewart, Nicky Hilton, and even Beyonce! They are soft, they are tight but comfortable, and they turn your silhouette svelte. We try them, we love them, and we definitely can’t keep them in stock. Come and try them at Azalea and see what I mean. Get them online! The new year is a perfect time to review our shopping treasures (and casualties…tight neon pink graffiti leggings, anyone? yeeks!) from 2009. Needless to say, the ONE thing that certainly had earned its mileage was the leather jacket from S.W.O.R.D. It was worn at least 3 times a week since the day I bought it, and I still can’t get enough of it. I wore it to work, to coffee shops (hence the milk stain that is still there. ha!), to parties, to dinners, and trotting the world. Yes, the leather jacket has even been to the Comme des Garcons store in Tokyo, the snowy mountain of Akakura, and the Uniqlo store in Beijing! The one leather jacket has definitely gone where no other clothing item has gone before.
The perfect leather jacket goes with literally everything. It won’t go out of style and is an instant classic. It will continue to be the must-have item for 2010 (and probably years following…), so I am urging everyone to get one for the new year. From the same factory that produces D&G leather jackets, I recommend S.W.O.R.D as the first brand to try on. Check out a couple of bomber styles below! Shop in-store or ONLINE.

Neon colors are this season’s big hit – and this includes nail polish! Try the Essie Neon Yellow one we have at Z Beauty Lounge. It’s good to try something totally different – I highly recommend nail polish first

There are lots of trouser jeans out there, but the best one we tried so far is this Democracy style from Kasil Jeans. Made from thicker denim, with a slight stretch to it, the fit is perfect, not too low rise or high – it’s just super flattering on. Come on over and try it for yourself! Free hemming this Saturday 11.7 only during Kasil Trunk Show at the store.

Luxurious and affordable, Toywatch is my new favorite thing! I’ve secretly wanted the Rolex Daytona in the boy size, but with a look-alike from Toywatch for $295, I am sold!

According to Toywatch website:
In the fall of 2006, Milan-based designer and wristwatch aficionado Marco Mavilla designed the first TOYWATCH. A lightweight, oversized plastic watch, inspired by high design timepieces, TOYWATCH is unexpected, arresting and irreverent. Under the direction of fine-watch collector and TOYWATCH USA CEO, Randy Gordon, TOYWATCH was brought to the USA in the summer of 2006. An anti-luxury statement in a luxury obsessed culture, TOYWATCH has become the “it” wristwatch and the “must-have” item among style influentials and tastemakers. The brand ignited a firestorm in the fashion, design and accessories industries and has been heralded as a sensation by the press.
Here is a recent press on Toywatch – the colorful ones are really great too.

Midnight in the Garden of EDUN: Two West-Coast Pop Ups -Refinery29 Pipeline-
By Max Berlinger

Green and socially conscience fashion label EDUN is packing it’s bags and going west. Starting October 6th at Azalea in San Francisco and November 4th at Ten Over Six in Los Angeles, EDUN opens it’s doors to two pop-up stores featuring their dreamy and darkly romantic autumn/winter collection, Nocturne (pictured). Not only is the collection beautiful in a gothic/rock n’ roll sort of way, the line, launched by Irish lad Bono and his wife Ali Hewson, is constructed entirely out of organic materials and provides employment in maturing economies. As if that weren’t altruistic enough, fifteen percent of total sales will go to the non-profits ONEXONE and H2O Africa Foundation. Listen, we always feel good after successful shopping spree, but this makes us feel even better.

TENOVERSIX is located at 7427 Beverly Blouvard, Los Angeles, 323-330-9355; www.tenover6.com. Azalea
