B.Scott really took off this Spring season. The jackets are beautiful, no details are overlooked, the fit is proportioned and materials are kept simple. His signature hoody has an updated look.

Commonwealth Utilities founders Anthony Keegan and Richard Christiansen are dedicated to reinventing the well-dressed man and the pursuit of unexpected delight (respectively). Its name is derived from the fact that designers Anthony Keegan and Richard Christiansen are originally from the Commonwealth of Nations (Canada and Australia, also respectively). I wish I could post their videos here (their all-flash site makes it a nay), because they have this one that shows all the somewhat scantily dressed gorgeous men getting all dressed up in the morning

Check them out at the store – the pieces are really beautifully made, with crisp tailoring and sophisticated details.
Oh, and that video can be seen here: http://www.commonwealth-utilities.com/#/VIDEOS_MEN_WE_LOVE/

You know that fantastic feeling you get when someone came along and you just knew that he or she is meant just for you? *Sigh. Well, I just had that feeling today. YES! Only it was not a someone, rather, it was a dress. Well, make it TWO dresses. Both from Acne. *Sigh. Sigh. It keeps on getting better!

Fashion darling, supermodel-skater turn designer Erin Wasson launched her new baby: LowLuv jewelry. Since its first debut at the Alexander Wang show last year, LowLuv has been getting a lot of attention for its anything but typical design. This season’s inspiration is desert of the southwest, which has been on Wasson’s creative mind all year long. This collection is priced fabulously at $40-$200, to our delight!

Our buyers Catherine and Rachel bring new lines for Spring 2010, and we are definitely liking what we get! To start off the year with a thrill, we just got in “The Furies,” an inspiring new brainchild of Danish designer Rikke Korff. This collection is without question, super fresh, edgy and highly fashionable. It is no surprise that The Furies is named as one of the top designers to watch by WWD! And, who doesn’t love black, black, and more black?
The Furies’ Rikke Korff – From WWD
Backstory: Denmark native Rikke Korff is best known for her 10-year stint as design director of Levi’s Red and Levi’s Vintage Collection. Korff, who studied at Copenhagen’s Danish Design School, helped reinvigorate the denim company with her cut-on-the-bias twisted-seam jeans. In 2005, she left Levi’s to start up her own firm, Korff Kounsil, where she consulted for lines including Levi’s, Lee Jeans and Quicksilver. The Furies is the Los Angeles-based designer’s first stab at her own label.
Collection: “The female market has become over saturated with frilly clichés of femininity,” Korff notes. “The Furies will unshackle feminine style.” The edgy, streetwise lineup includes strong graphic prints inspired by erotic Asian anime (“I have a severe crush on Japanese culture in general,” she explains). The silhouettes, meanwhile, veer sporty, comfortable and clean: oversize kimonolike Ts and draped pants, panung-style, in cotton. As for the label’s moniker, Korff notes that, aside from the obvious nod to Greek mythology, The Furies references the Japanese term for a swaying kimono sleeve — furisode.

MM6 is a sister line of Belgian designer label Maison Martin Margiela which transforms the main line’s avant garde style into an everyday wardrobe staple. All the pieces are mix and match items, with super clean construction, beautiful details and most of all, comfortable to wear. Azalea is thrilled to present the latest collection for Spring 2010 at the store, and coming soon online!
Just a couple of things to show you… We also have shoes, trench coat, a crisp shirt as well as denim leggings!

Seeing the world through Tom Ford’s eyes would be pretty extraordinary. Not sure if that’ll ever be possible, but what’s possible at least, is seeing through his sunglasses!
The Whitney, which is the “Star” of the line, fits amazingly well on all sort of different face types and shapes. The plastic is tough and heavy weight, considering it’s slim frame. It is not flimsy and has a great shine and feel to it. The lens is just the right shade to show a little bit of your eyes behind it, and the slight grade of ombre on the bottom is a very nice touch for extra depth and dimension. Oh, and we aren’t currently carrying the men’s eyewear line, but I had to put the (…ehem) naked male model from the latest Tom Ford campaign because it’s just hawt….!

The new year is a perfect time to review our shopping treasures (and casualties…tight neon pink graffiti leggings, anyone? yeeks!) from 2009. Needless to say, the ONE thing that certainly had earned its mileage was the leather jacket from S.W.O.R.D. It was worn at least 3 times a week since the day I bought it, and I still can’t get enough of it. I wore it to work, to coffee shops (hence the milk stain that is still there. ha!), to parties, to dinners, and trotting the world. Yes, the leather jacket has even been to the Comme des Garcons store in Tokyo, the snowy mountain of Akakura, and the Uniqlo store in Beijing! The one leather jacket has definitely gone where no other clothing item has gone before.
The perfect leather jacket goes with literally everything. It won’t go out of style and is an instant classic. It will continue to be the must-have item for 2010 (and probably years following…), so I am urging everyone to get one for the new year. From the same factory that produces D&G leather jackets, I recommend S.W.O.R.D as the first brand to try on. Check out a couple of bomber styles below! Shop in-store or ONLINE.
Our collection of Holiday pieces from Something is really something special! The dresses and tops are perfect with a blazer or a leather jacket and some clean, skinny jeans, hmmm… (*hint-hint: holiday wish list). Available at the store, coming soon online. See what we got:
