Doo-ri “Chung is exploring with Under.Ligne, a line she launched last year as a way of revisiting the simple jersey pieces she designed when she first started her collection. It’s the jersey that most people gravitate towards in Under.Ligne, said Chung. A simple, long scuba-style dress in black is a best-seller.”
“Under.Ligne’s practical philosophy, as with many other labels as of late, is “buy now, wear now” at prices that are just as immediate. Most pieces retail for around $300.
Fall 2010 marks the third season of the collection’s Doo.Ri-approved basics – classics inspired by ideas found in her signature collection both past and present, from easy draped tops with graphic prints, to triple ply knits like the pants, to a utilitarian silk trench.” – From Fashion Wire Daily. See full article here.
Doo-ri’s Under:ligne Spring collection is here! We love the dresses – there is a Watermelon silk minidress that is to-die-for. Price points are really good too! Come and see at the store.

A.P.C.’s Hipster jean is truly unique. You could say that among the myriad of denim options, it stands alone.
A.P.C.’s Jean Touitou strives to bring simplicity and minimalism back into the wardrobes of the fashion conscious without putting them to sleep. Quality, attention to detail, and attitude exude from these pants from the minute you put them on.
With a 2cm lower rise than that of the New Standard/New Cure/Rescue family, one less button, always versatile 5th pocket, and a static $165.00 price tag, what is not to LOVE?

Here’s what to do.
1. Get your hands on a pair of Hipsters.
2. Use all your strength to put them on and secure the buttons.
3. Stand there and catch your breath.
4. Wear them to brunch. Wear them to the park. Wear them to the bar. Wear them on a date. Wear them to your Mom’s house.
5. Feel them soften with wear… Look at those FADES!
6. Thank me.

Clothing industry is full of passionate, creative, amazing people and their ideas. As customers, we get to enjoy the products, get to express ourselves and our style through the pieces they created. Like many things, sometimes I ponder on how do these ideas come to be realized. How is this jacket I am wearing constructed, produced, where is its origins? I always appreciate it when the people behind these creations care to educate us on such information.
“…To make historically correct garments it’s important to understand the machinery on which the originals are made. Some of this machinery is over 85 years old.” – From the Garbstore.
Garbstore is a men’s line launched in 2007 by Ian Paley from London, former founder and designer of One True Saxon, Senior Designer Paul Smith Jeans, Designer Thomas Burberry & Levis Strauss. His mission: Quality.
Garbstore website has a beautiful documentation feature on their factory in Guangdong, read this great article here. A lot of designers in quest of quality usually resist the idea of manufacturing in China, but Garbstore actually is deeply proud of it. ”Garbstore isn’t about making in a particular place or in a particular country, we manufacture in the best possible environment for the products we aspire to make.”

You saw it here first! A few months back we hosted Jules Kim and her fab jewelry line Bijules at the first trunk show on the West coast.
Now, in April, we are excited to bring the pieces to you!
Sought after by people who value individuality and fashion internationally; worn by celebrities such as Karen O, Beyonce, and Rihanna, Jules Kim designs jewelry for the bold at heart.
They are binary pieces of Kim’s own personality, beaming with rough-edged glamour that each and every girl can take home and add to her accessory collection.
The rings come in a variety of precious metals; silver, gold, and black gold. These pictures may be good but seeing them in person is truly an experience. Come check ‘em out!! <3

I wasn’t really sure how I feel about another celebrity line; I am of the opinion that being a Hollywood ex-reality star doesn’t always mean you should be designing clothes or anything. Their designs seems to be, ehem… a novelty, and nothing more. We are going to get these at the store pretty soon, but I figure we can preview the looks and see whether we like it. It’s pretty, it’s bohemian, it’s what is in Nicole Richie’s fabulous closet. I’m gonna try out the print flowy blouses when it hits the floor, twirling around in it with Air’s “Cherry Blossom Girl” playing in the background. I will certainly write an update about this when we get it, promise.

Pretty pretty tops…

We blew out last time we got these, but they are now back in stock! Available at the store. Get a couple. They are cheap. (and nicely made).

Word has it that Eryn Brinie is the best kept secret in SOHO, NYC – a little gem in the hustle and bustle of Broadway Street. Feminine style, pretty dresses, flowy tops, it’s a girl’s girl dream come true…high-quality and a gratifying price tag to match ($60-$180). Now available at Azalea for all San Francisco girls.

Vintage washed italian lambskin ($525) – YUMMY! Olivia Harris by Joy Gryson bags now available at the store!
Richard Chai Spring 2010 is “Love.” We definitely love you back Richard! If you are going to invest in that ONE gorgeous dress that you can style all year long, I’d pick one of these dresses. It’s chic, fashionable, with just the right splash of color. It’s a little on the pricier side, ($495) BUT consider all the outfits you can really pull out of it. Stylt it with denim vest + leggings, leather jacket + tights, knit wrap + boots, belt it with flats, trench coat over it + heels….and it goes on. I think I just talked myself into getting one. Oh no! (Oh yes!)

“In 1991, Co-owner and Creative Director Inder Bedi was challenged by a mahatma to go vegetarian for thirty days. It was during this time that Inder devised the business plan for an eco/vegan fashion house. First written as a university project in 1995 and eventually launched as MATT & NAT. 21 water bottle initiative has further stepped up our commitment to social responsibility and to the environment; all linings are made from recycled plastic water bottles. A message inside of each bag will let you know exactly how many bottles were recycled to produce your accessory.” – www.mattandnat.com.
Check out some of the bags we have at the store – I love the guys’s black travel bag, its really modern, functional, and the leather is so supple ($285 – its a really good price for what it is):

Here is the “Tundra” style for women $225, the zipper details are fantastic!

Just in today at the store! A.P.C. Sandal in dark canvas blue – super cute for spring:

If you google “Shakuhachi,” you’ll find out that its a Japanese end-blown flute, traditionally made of bamboo that was used by the Zen Buddhist monks. Shakuhachi, is also a really cool Australian clothing line by Jessie White. Jetsetting between Aussie and Bali (yes, that slice of heaven located in Indonesia), she makes clothes that inspired by the non-chalant fashionable side of beach lifestyle. Doesn’t that just sounds awesome? If its Freaky Friday, I’d love switching my life to THAT. Anyways, here is Shakuhachi! Love it try it wear it!

We’ll get these up online very soon! Meanwhile, come see it at the store…
